The Traffic Message Channel (TMC) is a specific application of the FM Radio Data System (RDS) used for broadcasting real-time traffic and weather information. Data messages are received silently and decoded by a TMC-equipped car radio or navigation system.

Conditions for downloading and using the Finnish Alert C location database and Event list

Owner: Finnish Transport Agency

The location database is submitted in a single and multiple table exchange format.

Use of the location database and event list is free of charge. Registration is required. No contract or license is required.

Finnish Transport Agency (FTA) can not be held responsible for failures or malfunctioning of equipment. FTA can not be held responsible for direct as well as indirect damages caused by errors in the database or by using or applying the database or its content.

By downloading the files the recipient agrees with the conditions of use set by FTA.

Finnish Transport Agency will provide information about new versions of the location database on this web site and through TISA Forum (www.tisa.org).
