The new journal, published by Finnish Trafic Agency in the field of R&D, is called Liikenteen suunta. It is in Finnish, but on our website there are translations into Swedish and English of some of the most significant articles.
The target group of the new journal - Liikenteen suunta - consists of infrastructure sector professionals, experts and all those readers who are interested in infrastructure research and development. Our aim is to present the R&D of the different modes of transport and the infrastructure sector both from a national and an international perspective.
The journal is published by the Finnish Transport Agency, but represents the whole transport field.
On the editorial board, the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Finnish Transport Safety Agency are represented besides the Finnish Transport Agency.
The journal is available free of charge.
The most topical field now, namely intelligent transport systems is the theme of the first issue. In the coming issues topics such as climate change, security, cooperation between the universities and traffic culture research will be dealt with from a R&D perspective.
